We are pleased to confirm that West Stow Pods is as COVID19-Secure as we can reasonably make it. We are:
1. taking a pragmatic approach consistent with health & safety law and coronavirus legislation.
2. observing increased hygiene and cleaning procedures.
3. observing social distancing procedures following government guidance.
Whilst we are doing everything possible to keep guests and our staff safe, it is important to note that we will be expecting ALL our guests to take all necessary measures to observe social distancing and to protect themselves and others at all times. The current Government regulations and advice will apply to all our guests at West Stow Pods. Anyone not adhering to the guidelines will be politely asked to leave.
Please note that Government regulations and guidelines have been changing very quickly in relation to the coronavirus epidemic. In order to protect our guests and staff, some services or facilities may be reduced or withdrawn altogether, at short notice, dependent on Government guidelines and risk assessments. There will be no reductions or refunds available if this is the case. However, if another lockdown occurs, a full refund will be given. If you have any concerns please email us directly at email@example.com for information on this quickly changing situation.
Risk Assessments and Guidelines: HSE Template for Coronavirus will be in place for guests and staff. Visit Britain “We’re Good to Go” Coronavirus Guidelines.
In addition to our risk assessment and procedures to ensure our woodland is COVID-19 secure, we also need to work with the Government Track & Trace System. This is essential in helping to minimise and manage virus transmission. We need to know the names and contact details of everyone who is on the site at any one time and to keep this data for at least 21 days. PLEASE EMAIL WITH THE DETAILS OF EVERYONE STAYING IN YOUR ACCOMMODATION BEFORE ARRIVAL. Your information will be dealt with securely.
The check-in process to aid social distancing:
Please do not allow children to roam unsupervised around the woodland so that they, albeit inadvertently, break the social distance rule. Ensure that they wash their hands frequently.
Everything inside your accommodation will have been cleaned to the highest possible standards and in accordance with published Government guidelines. All surfaces have been sprayed with disinfectants inline with advice.
When weather permits, windows will be left open to allow maximum ventilation of the accommodation before your arrival, for a minimum of 3 hours as per the E U Directive.
Any surplus soft furnishings in the accommodation that cannot easily be cleaned will be removed (we are sorry if the accommodation doesn’t look as welcoming as previously!) for example, throws and cushions. You may therefore prefer to bring some of your own.
We at West Stow Pods may need to enter your accommodation for maintenance issues, and if this were to be the case, we would ask that you step outside whilst we enter your accommodation. We will wipe down all surfaces we need to touch, both before and after.
We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and we will continue to uphold the highest standards during this time. All beds are fitted with additional protectors, which are changed between occupations, as are any essential covers.
When leaving your accommodation, please leave all windows open (when weather permits), bag all rubbish, and deposit in the main bin on the car park (or by the BBQ for Pod Hollow).
If you have felt unwell during your stay, it is essential that you let us know by telephone immediately on 01284 728136
We know that these are very challenging times and we very much appreciate your cooperation.
